Around 7,000 people have applied for the COVID-19 recovery grant since it was launched on Jan 18. The grant is targeted at those with lower household incomes and those who have suffered more significant income loss. The grant also comes with a stricter criteria to provide more targeted help. For example, applicants must be facing income loss of at least 50% on average for at least three consecutive months.
