WABCO and ZF jointly developed and demonstrated Evasive Maneuver Assist, the prototype of a breakthrough collision avoidance technology for commercial vehicles.

Evasive Maneuver Assist combines WABCO's active braking and ZF’s active steering technologies – an industry first. The technology marks a critical milestone on the path to autonomous driving for heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Both companies showed Evasive Maneuver Assist for the very first time on June 29-30, 2016, at the test track of RWTH Aachen University in Aldenhoven, Germany.
