Banda Aceh, Indonesia (2024). After an almost 20 year wait, I finally have my video of an coffee barista making "conventional" Acehnese coffee. The barista pours hot water into the fishnet filter full of ground coffee and then filters it several times before serving it in glasses. Acehnese coffee tends to have a strong flavour, so a little bit of condensed milk helps make the coffee a bit milder. My standard breakfast of rice with a piece of fish and an egg, plus coffee, costs IDR 28,000.
