The Shanghai Major (or "Winter Major") is the second event of Valve's Dota Major Championships, which will add 3 new publisher-sponsored tournaments each year in addition to The International. The main event takes place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China.
The prize pool of the tournament provided by Valve was set to $3,000,000 USD.
