Wandering around downtown Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima) in Isan, we find a good-sized market on a Sunday in the mid-afternoon. Generally these two factors are something to think about when searching for a local market in Thailand. Why? Because often they are closed or sold out of the tastier items if they opened in the early morning. Of course this is the opposite of the wonderful night markets all over the country that usually begin about 5 pm (17:00) This market was about half closed but still had some nice surprises...
