In a recent dyno test session between a $60 set of piston rings and a $600 set of piston rings, a surprising difference in engine temperature, wear and horsepower was observed when the thickness of the piston rings were changed.

Lake Speed Jr. and the guys at Shaver Specialties Racing Engines measured the impact of changing piston ring size and design, so check out the results!
