Delhi Flood News | On July 13, the water level of the Yamuna River in Delhi crossed the 208.48 meters mark, leading to massive floods in low-lying areas and causing extensive traffic congestion. The areas around Shastri Park and Sarai Kale Khan experienced significant traffic snarls due to blocked roads and waterlogging. The Delhi traffic police implemented diversions and the government banned the entry of heavy vehicles carrying non-essential goods. The Yamuna Bank Metro Station was temporarily closed for entry and exit, but an interchange facility remained available. Waterlogging has been a major issue for Delhi residents, with viral videos showing people wading through chest-deep water near Red Fort. Over 16,564 people have been evacuated from affected areas.
