Synopsis:
This drama tells the story of the 47-year-old Diao Dashun leading a group of strong men engaged in stage performance work in Xi'an. The stage they installed were not only the local Shanxi opera troupe, but also various singing and dancing performances, wedding and funeral performances; Therefore they also encountered all kinds of things and people. Regardless of what others think, Shunzi and his team members always believes that this is an art-related job, they dedicated to their responsibilities, enduring hardships and standing hard work, and eventually went to Beijing with the shanxi Opera Troupe and received a great success. However, when Shunzi reached middle age, the violent and wayward eldest daughter Chrysanthemum born by his ex-wife, the well-behaved second daughter Mei with no blood relationship, the eldest brother Diao Dajun who has been in a foreign land for half of his life, and the woman Cai Sufen who suddenly appeared in his life were all intertwined with him in his busy life of lighting,stage setting, light setting and boxing which brought joys and sorrows、fresh and jollification to his life. As the time goes on, the daughters set up their own families and the team members came and left, the village in the city where they lived once again heard news that they were about to be demolished. Life continues, the only thing that hasn’t changed is Shunzi and his team members’ attitude at work and the way they treat people.
