In this video, I examine a bobcat scat found in the middle of a dirt road. Several wildlife trails intersect the road at this point. The bobcat scat sample was such a perfect, textbook example that I thought it would make a good instructional video for trackers learning how to identify scat. So, I go over the many characteristics seen in this scat that help a tracker tell what animal made it. Every scat will not show all of these characteristics, so keep in mind that this one is just a classic, perfect scat that shows all the things to look for, but you may find other examples that don't show all of these.
