In this video I return to Razza for another round, this time, reviewing their standard Margherita, which I loved more than the Jersey Margherita from last year. This pizza here is different than the Jersey Margherita. The Jersey Margherita is made with locally sourced ingredients; including Jersey tomatoes, and mozzarella from Jersey cows made at a local farm in Sussex, NJ. I was informed that the best time to have the Jersey Margherita was in the Summer, when the cows eat fresh grass. The mozzarella comes out better.
I reviewed that Jersey Pie around this time last year, early March 2021, and so not the ideal time for tasting that pie. I think Razza had potential to be better than the score I gave it...but it's still March, and so no Jersey Margherita rescore this time, perhaps in the Summer months. For now, I decided to try their standard Margherita, made with california tomatoes and fresh mozzarella than is made in house !
