The Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa, in 1212 AD, was the most important battle of the Spanish Reconquista. The five Christian Kingdoms of the Iberian Peninsula joined under one banner to face an Andalusian force twice their size: whether the Iberian Peninsula would become fully christian, or fully muslim, would be decided in Las Navas de Tolosa.
