Full parts list is below. The purpose of this install is to make the Bosal exhaust replacement parts for the G35 something that I could live with. The standard Bosal replacement for the 2003 G35 Sedan (part 283-731) has a resonator installed that does not make the exhaust sound good. In fact it drones horribly between 2-3k rpm. So I wanted to replace it with a resonator that would quiet down the exhaust without being too restrictive. I found the Vibrant resonator and it was a great replacement, not too large, straight through design and it worked great to quiet the exhaust without killing the sound. The problem was the 2003 Sedan mid-pipe from Bosal is angled from the Y-Pipe outlet to the muffler inlet so taking out the Bosal resonator and fitting the Vibrant unit would cause a fitment issue against the drive shaft cover. I needed a mid-pipe that would bend off the Y-pipe and then go straight down the body. This is where the 2004-2007 G35x mid-pipe comes in. that unit is bent perfectly to allow the resonator replacement to fit under the car without hitting.
