Homemade Bread in a Bag
1 gallon-sized plastic bag
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 packet yeast
1 cup warm water (@110-120 degrees/warmed in the microwave for one minute)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of the flour and the sugar and yeast. Pour into a resealable gallon-sized plastic bag, and add warm water. Seal bag, pressing out air, and shake and mash bag by hand until combined.
Set bag on counter to rest for 10 minutes covered with a towel. After 10 minutes, mixture should be bubbly.
In the same bowl used before, mix together 1 cup of flour and salt. Pour into the bag along with the melted butter. Seal bag, pressing out air, and shake bag and mix again.
Open bag and add remaining flour. Close bag and mix until well combined. Remove dough to a floured surface and knead with floured hands for 5-10 minutes adding flour to your surface as needed. Knead for approximately 100 full twists and turns.
Place dough in greased loaf pan and lay a towel over the top. Place in a warm spot in your home and allow dough to rise for 30-45 minutes. —see below for microwave tip.
Place a cup of water in the microwave for two minutes to heat. After two minutes, place bread in the microwave covered. This will create the perfect warm environment for the bread to rise.

Preheat oven to 375.

Brush the top of the bread with melted butter and bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
