At least 28 people were killed and 17 injured in a gas explosion that occurred at a coal mine in South Khorasan Province, Iran. 24 people are still unaccounted for. The Madanjoo company's mine near Tabas experienced a methane gas explosion in two blocks, which resulted in the accident. It stated that at the time of the explosion, there were 69 workers in the blocks.
