I have played with the 1000 hp number and north of it and found its a very dangers number to shoot for on stock gen 4 internals. In this video I show you what has worked incredibly well for me on a budget. Stock pistons are not forgiving at high hp. Stock gen 4 rods are not much better. If you want to make and easy 1000 hp all day long and not worry about it on a moderate budget this is for you. Sure many have broke the 1000 hp mark on stock bottom ends but for how long. If anything leans out even a little your done. After trying that approach and finding the limits several times its not worth not spending a little more. I know haters will say its not needed. I would disagree if you want any hope of reliability. Stock blocks are very strong especially iron ones. I prefer the 6.0 just because it gives you the extra cubes to light turbos sooner for street use. 5.3 and 4.8 can still reach the 1000 hp limit without much more than 20-25 pounds of boost.
