The lidar sensors and cameras are the eyes of an autononomous vehicle. The 2D & 3D data they produce must be correctly combined and synchronized to provide clear vision – and safe autonomous driving.
Eugeniu Vezeteu is one of the young experts from the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute FGI – he recently completed his masters thesis working on our autonomous research car.
