This video covers the restoration of this 1982 steel framed Peugeot Classique bicycle, built from Japanese Tange 2 double butted tubing. Peugeot bicycles where manufactured in South Africa (under license to Peugeot France), from the late 60’s until the 90’s by local frame builder Gotty Hansen (Hansom Cycles) and later by the Western Flyer Company in King Williams Town. The bikes were well built and affordable and this made them very popular amongst both the social and racing cyclists.
