Look, push come to shove I really think the Casio Royale is the best watch value under $50. The Invicta pro diver when on sale is a good option as are many G Shock and Vostok watches. That said, I don't hate quartz watches and would prefer this over an automatic watch with questionable accuracy. Also, I dot love buying watches that I wont service so keeping it quartz or solar seem to be the least wasteful way to go.
This brings me to G Shock and the Duro, and while many G's are better watches if I had to just have one forever I would take the Duro every time. Something about a rotating bezel and screw down crown is too satisfying to replace with a digital option. Either way, hats off to you Casio. Plus in my opinion modding these is more enjoyable than modding the equivalent G's
