This is Lake Tana in Bahir Dar (Ethiopia). In this place the BLUE Nile starts flowing towards the Capital of Sudan: Khartoum which is 1500 km away. There, it joins the white Nile forming the longest river in the world that ends up in the Mediterranean sea.
This branch of the river contributes to 85%- 90% of the water from the Nile that gets into Egypt. In its source we see big groups of giant white pelicans and fishermen on their daily routine.
