The recent publication of both the SIAM Foundation and Professional Bodies of Knowledge has led to an increased interest in understanding on ‘how to do it’; the practical considerations for moving to a Service Integration and Management (SIAM) based model. In this webinar, SIAM Lead Architects, Simon Dorst and Michelle Major-Goldsmith will provide some vital information regarding making a move to a SIAM model.
SIAM is a response to complex multi-sourced environments, essentially the incorporation of a service integrator, a single logical entity held accountable for the end to end delivery of services. The integrator acting as ‘the voice of the customer’, takes away the headache of managing and combining the output of various service providers, through its role, providing governance, management, integration, assurance, and coordination of the end to end services. It sounds simple enough on paper, but in the ‘real world’ the complexity of contractual arrangements can make it challenging for even the most respected and impartial integrator to get providers to engage, collaborate and innovate.
This presentation will explain, using the SIAM Implementation Roadmap as a backdrop, how best to build a SIAM ecosystem. Using real world examples (both good and bad), anecdotes and advice, it will provide some easy to understand tips on how to develop and manage a SIAM ecosystem.
