The supports for banked turns on Carrera 1:32 / 1:24 track can sometimes be problematic staying in place. Although the feet of the supports can be secured to the build surface with nails or screws we have a couple of alternate solutions to secure the feet of the supports. Much of the information in many of our videos can apply to other slot car track manufacturers as well as Carrera, however as far as we know Policar and Ninco do not have banked turns, and Scalextric does but their support system is completely different. Thus information in this video applies exclusively to Carrera digital and analog slot car track.
The two solutions are contingent on the build surface, namely it must be some sort of textured material, and outdoor carpet works best, but other types of carpeting will work as well. The solution won’t work if the track sits on a hard surface such as tile, concrete, hard wood, etc.
