The annual return of a small event that has rapidly become a stand out favourite of ours over the years. The CMMC Festival this year saw the usual action from the CMMCS Intermarque, Super Saloons and Tin Tops, as well as the Mini Clubsport Challenge (The first BMW Mini series here in around 15 years!), Super Classic Formula Ford, Northern Sports and Saloons, National Pickup Truck Championship and CMMC Classic Challenge. All with good grids and all putting on some of the closest racing you'll see anywhere. A real shame to lose the last race after Neal Gardiner had a spectacular exit from the 2nd Tin Tops race with brake failure at one of the worst corners in the UK to experience such an issue. Thankfully he looks to be on the mend quickly. Massive thanks go out to Marcus Bicknell, Lee Maddox and Stuart Marbrook for their time and their footage, and to Mick Walker, Jeff Bloxham and Dave Vass for the trackside chat. Sad that once again this is 1 of a very tiny amount of car events we have here this year. 1 of 3 to be precise. Too bad I'll only see 2 of them.
