Distinguished Alumni Awards are dedicated to celebrating the ingenuity, persistence and hard work of Beaconhouse School System’s prestigious alumni.
This year’s ceremony was held as part of the illustrious Beaconhouse School of Tomorrow Conference on Saturday 5th November at Pakistan National Council of Arts, Islamabad.
In the field of Sports & Games, Ms Noorena Shams (Class of 2014) from Frontier Campus, Peshawar emerged as the victor.
Ms Nooreena is a prominent squash player as well as a dedicated activist. She consistently ranked within the top 30 Asian squash players during her junior career. Impressively, she is the sole South Asian athlete who holds positions on four governing bodies responsible for shaping policies to benefit athletes. In recognition of her inspiring work, she was honoured as one of the 24 inspirational individuals by UNDP Pakistan in 2016. She was the first-ever cyclist to win a silver medal for Pakistan in Junior Olympics.
Ms. Noorena's heartfelt sentiments about her alma mater resonated deeply with the audience. Her path has been marked by bravery, unwavering determination, and unmatched perseverance. Beaconhouse BOSS takes pride in her accomplishments and extends heartfelt wishes for continued strength in shaping policies that foster success for young athletes.
