Your 5 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for May 5, 2023: It's been a few weeks since we've last had a beautiful, get-outside kind of weekend around here. Well, after much patience, it's back!
Cinco de Mayo plans tonight? No problem.
Kentucky Derby plans tomorrow? No problem.
Warmer air will continue to stream in bringing us sunshine and passing high clouds on Saturday with highs in the low 70s. Temps will stay mild Saturday night with lows only dropping into the lower 50s.
Ongoing showers and storms well to our west will come into play in our forecast by Sunday morning. All indication is that a line of decaying showers and storms will roll through here sometime Sunday morning. The rest of the day will involve leftover clouds that give way to sunshine eventually. Temps would start in the 60s with the early rain Sunday before recovering towards or into the 70s during the afternoon.
