On May 17, the FDA authorized the Pfizer COVID booster shot for kids ages 5 through 11. The FDA amended the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer vaccine, allowing the use of a single booster dose for individuals ages 5 through 11, at least 5 months after completion of a primary series of Pfizer vaccines. We explain.
