"Congress leader Ambika Soni has declined the offer for the post of the next Punjab chief minister and said a Sikh leader should be selected for the position, sources said. She also said she 'must follow inner voice'. She spoke to Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi last night and told them she has a deep-rooted connection with Punjab and that a Sikh should be made the head of the government in the state. Sources said Navjot Singh Sidhu also called her to persuade her, but she said that she wouldn't want to take up something she does not feel convinced about.
