The battle over the abortion pill mifepristone, which is used in more than half of the abortion in the US, began on April 7 in Texas when a conservative judge appointed by former president Donald Trump cancelled mifepristone's marketing authorisation. The Supreme Court on Friday decided to temporarly preserve access to this abortion pill, a decision welcomed by abortion rights and civil liberties groups such as Planned Parenthood, as well as President Joe Biden. However, they all warn that the abortion pill's future remains in danger.
