It's safe to say that glamour and housing items are far more profitable in ratio with their cost than endgame gear these days, so if you want to make gil in FFXIV, especially through crafting, it's probably time to change tactic.

The sheer cost of crafting 1 endgame item of gear is so high that you can craft up to 12 pieces of glamour gear, meaning your overall profit margins will be so much higher!
