At this meeting, the Chicago Election Board:
- Conducted its organizational votes for Chairman and Secretary
- Had a moment of silence to reflect on the passing of the Rev. Willie Barrow, voting-rights activist and Rainbow PUSH founder
- Reviewed preparations for and the status of Absentee Voting, Early Voting, and voting equipment preparations at the warehouse and processing of voter registrations in advance of the April 7 Supplementary (Run-Off) Elections.
- Reviewed the impact of Spring Break, Easter and Passover coinciding with the week of the April 7 election.
- Discussed plans for notifying voters who live in precincts where the polling place needed to change between the February and April elections.
- Approved contracts for legal services
- Approved the removal of two judges of election.
