The most wonderful time of the year has returned, and with it, my journey to Europe’s Christmas markets—this time, through the heart of Central and Eastern Europe. I set out to explore how different cultures celebrate the season, visiting markets across five countries in just a few weeks. After seeing the markets of Prague and Wroclaw, it was time to return to one of my favorite cities: Krakow, Poland. This medieval city is so charming with its massive gothic spires and sprawling town squares, I couldn’t wait to see it all lit up with the warm glow and gourmet smells of the Christmas season, and here’s how it went…
