As Park and Recreation month comes to a close, NRPA President and CEO Kristine Stratton describes some of the inspiring stories shared throughout the month as well as a recent personal experience with parks and recreation. NRPA will continue sharing these stories and will soon release our community poem recited by bestselling author and poet Kwame Alexander. Stratton encourages professionals to stay involved in NRPA and their state park and recreation organizations, and to remember to register for the 2021 NRPA Annual Conference, which has as early bird registration deadline approaching on August 6.
