Housing is a necessity and a basic human right and need. For many decades, people globally have been facing severeHousing problems, this resulted to severe shelter deprivation South Africa constitution enshrines a right to housing in section 26 of the Constitution, which states that everyone has a right to have access to adequate housing and the state must take reasonable legislative and other measures within its available resources to achieve the progressive realisation of this right.Post 1994 government established the Reconstruction and Development Program to realize this right it seems it has been lacking as many South Africans still have no access to this fundamental right.
