How to reduce shrinkage 👇🏽👇🏽SAVE + Read caption👇🏽👇🏽
Are your curls really tight and you are looking to reduce shrinkage? Then this post is for you.
For some time thought diffusing would mean I had to crunch my hair to get the best curls, but after many trials and errors trying to get rid of so much shrinkage I realised I was diffusing my hair wrong so here are a few tips to help you:
Begin diffusing at the roots and work your way down to the tips. This helps in elongating your curls and reducing shrinkage.
Hover the diffuser: Instead of cupping your curls in the diffuser, hold the diffuser just below your hair, allowing it to hover or float over your curls.
Maintain a slight distance: Keep the diffuser a few inches away from your hair. This approach diffuses the warm air gently and evenly without direct contact with your curls.
Use a low airflow setting: If your hair dryer has adjustable airflow settings, use the lowest setting to minimize disruption to your curls.
Dry from roots to tips: Start at the roots and work your way down to the tips, moving the diffuser in a circular or side-to-side motion. Continue this process until your hair is about 80-90% dry.
