‘The Dot’ is fundamental for most latte art designs. Get ready to delve into the world of latte art and master the basics with this step-by-step tutorial on how to perfect this technique in just five easy steps.

Directions:
1. Start with the jug up high and the cup tilted to create a larger surface area of the espresso.
2. Pour a thin, constant stream of microfoam milk to pierce the centre of the crema.
3. As the cup starts to fill, tilt the cup more upright so as not to spill your delicious coffee.
4. Then bring the tip of the jug close to the surface of the milk, almost touching it.
5. At this point, a white dot will start to appear. Keep steadily pouring to make the Dot larger.
