The Basilica of Holy Cross in Jerusalem is one of the seven main churches of Rome and has relics from the crucifixion of Jesus, including two thorns from the crown, one of the nails, pieces of the cross, and the inscription from the cross.

Pilgrims from Barcelona and Singapore were moved by these relics and found the experience powerful. The Catholic Church says that belief in the relics is not required but they help make the Passion of Christ more real.

One pilgrim from Singapore was particularly moved by seeing one of the nails and said it was surreal and helped her understand the extent of Christ's love for her.
