#Timetoworship #Wordup!
Hey everyone,
You know here are 3 words that we commonly use within our day to day conversations like "I'm running late", "I miss you", "I love you", "yes I promise" or even the good old "I need coffee". But there are 3 words that we reserve, that rarely ever leaves our mouth. That is "I forgive you". Ephesians 4:32 says this "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
This verse is not very easy to put into practice, am I right? Life is tough as it is, the last thing we need is people who are our family, friends or even work colleagues committing an offence against you and hurting your feelings. In most cases, these offences are usually unintentional, but in the very serious cases they can be quite painful and hard to get over. Or perhaps you have done something to offend someone els and find it difficult to forgive yourself.
In fact forgiveness is a remedy. When we continue to hold on to these transgression and hurt feelings what develops are these ugly things called emotional stress, resentment and the B word bitterness. These things can even effect your health and your relationships!
You know God forgives and forgets sin. Yes, He forgives and forgets the things we do against Him that displeases. However, you may have made your best effort to forgive and forget and find that you cannot. God can help you to cleanse your memory. Instead of remembering with malice and hurt, remember with forgiveness. Then go one step further and ask God to forgive your offender. By forgiving and then asking God to forgive your offender, you release God to bless you and the other person.
Remember you are not condoning the wrong or acting as if it never happened—you are just simply letting it go.
Lets look forward, a lot of things might have happened in 2018. But lets start 2019 with a clean slate and a fresh outlook on life with the help and guidance of yours truly our Lord Jesus Christ.
Love
Andy & Acha
