On Prime Time, we ask experts whether the scheme launched by the Modi government offering black money hoarders to come 'clean' on their assets would be an effective way to bring more people into the tax-payers bracket. We also ask whether this would help uncover hidden assets and reveal details of wealthy individual who have been evading taxes. According to the scheme, individuals with undisclosed assets can declare them before the 30th of September and that no 'inquiry' would be done on the source of income used for procuring those assets.
