Step-by-step instructions:
The frame is the main structural element of a metal rack. Its main function is to provide stability to the structure.
To carry out the assembly process we will need the following elements:
2 props, which are the main element of the rack. AR Racking manufactures them in different lengths and sections depending on the customer's needs.
Diagonal and horizontal. These are the pieces that are connected between the props, forming the basic structure. Horizontal, they fulfil the same function as the diagonals, joining the props and distributing the weight evenly.
Also the strut bases, screws and other fixings.
With these elements, we move on to the assembly process itself. This is carried out in this case by 2 operators, and with the support of 2 trestles to hold the props in a comfortable way for their handling.
First, we place the prop feet on the base of each prop, ensure that they are correctly aligned with the holes, and fit the screws.
Using a screwdriver, we screw the prop feet firmly enough to guarantee the stability of the structure. These bases, or prop feet, are the element of the frame that will be in direct contact with the warehouse floor, so their correct fixing is of great importance.
Next, we must turn both props, so that the face of the holes is towards the outside, and the hollow face is towards the inside. We place the horizontals in their appropriate position at the ends between the two props, and then the diagonals in their designated positions according to the design.
The diagonals are placed from the top of one prop to the bottom of the other. They form a lattice to provide greater stability to the frame. For greater safety, it is advisable to measure and ensure that the elements have been placed in the correct place.
First, we manually place the screws of the horizontals, and then the diagonals, starting from the ends, towards the centre of the structure. This part of the assembly process must be done with special care and detail, since the union of the props with the horizontal and diagonal braces is mainly responsible for ensuring the stability and firmness of the frame.
And therefore also responsible for the stability of the industrial racking in which the rack is to be installed.
Once we have ensured that all the elements are joined and aligned in the right place by hand, we will fix them correctly with the help of a drill. This will be the last step of the assembly process.
Once all the parts are assembled and fixed, just check the stability of the frame, tighten any screws if necessary, and you will have your AR Racking industrial racking frame perfectly assembled.
