I think from out of the three videos I made of Lady Oscar, this one I am most proud of because it really shows the complexity of Oscar's characterization and I loved how the aesthetic scenes used for the symbolism deepen the characterization.
Hope you like it as I do! 😊
This video is a characterization of Lady Oscar with her inner struggles of her destiny imposed by her father, her leaving her womanhood behind and accepting the beauty of this destiny entrusted to her just so in the end to live her life without any regrets.
The beauty of the character is that by the end she embraces both her sides: the one that it was imposed to her but also the beauty of being a woman just by loving truly and freely a man, in whose arms she can be vulnerable, happy and herself.
And what song can represent her character the best?! Exactly. The famous opening theme of The Rose of Versailles anime: The Rose Perishes Beautifully sung by Hiroko Suzuki. Excellent song by the way, is like this song was made for Lady Oscar's character. I found a brilliant cover of this song which I will put the link under so that you can credit the members, they are brilliant in how they managed to sing this beautiful song.
P.S: I wanted to show how her army under her command took Bastille but I could not find the right clip so instead I just implied in a subtle way the victory that brought her death.
Genre: Characterization/Historical/Romance/Tragedy/The French Revolution
Fandom: Lady Oscar aka The Rose of Versailles by Riyoko Ikeda

Clips: Lady Oscar 1979, The Princess of Montpensier, The White Queen, Les Miserable and a lot of aesthetic scenes from various movies.
I don't own the music and clips.
