Namibia is one of the most fascinating and diverse countries in the world and in my opinion it s a number 1 travel destination not just in Africa but in the world. Namibia is world famous for the highest dunes in the world at Sossusvlei and for the Etosha National Park which is one of world's greatest conservation areas, there are two of the best places to visit in Namibia.
This travel video shows some of the highlights of the Namibian landscapes, particularly from the Namib Desert, from the dunes at Sossusvlei to the seals at Namibia's Cape Cross seal colony along the skeleton coast.
Namibia has more than it's fair share of shipwrecks along the skeleton coast.
The Namib Desert, after which Namibia is named, is considered to be the oldest desert in the world, and most of the Namib Desert coastal strip is protected and the Namib-Naukluft National Park (49,768 sq km), is the largest game park in Africa and one of the largest in the world.

When to Visit Namibia
------------------------------------
Namibia is one of the hottest countries in the world with an average of 300 days of sunshine so you can be sure of some good weather all year round if you are planning a road trip to Namibia! The hottest months are December to March when it it is generally hot throughout the country. The main rainy season in Namibia starts in January.
During April to May rains might still occur in Namibia but the temperatures slowly start to drop. And from June to September it is winter in Namibia and only the far south will receive any rain at all. During the Namibian winter the day temperatures are still moderately warm, although the nights can be very cold, inland and desert areas of Namibia often have overnight frost.
In October and November Namibia temperatures rise increasingly and it gets hot again. The so called “little rainy season” starts and brings a most welcome end to the long dry period.
