In audio signal processing, convolution reverb is a process used for digitally simulating the reverberation of a physical or virtual space through the use of software profiles; a piece of software (or algorithm) that creates a simulation of an audio environment.
Capturing any reverb for sharing and use with convolution reverb units comes with many benefits.
Capturing a virtual space comes with almost as many?? For example, collaborating via the internet with someone who doesn't have your particular reverb VST. Or, maybe you just like how your convolution reverb unit processes better than the reverb being generated at the time?
Maybe, just maybe, these is no really good use for the virtual approach though... haha... but, I'm going to show you how to synthesize any reverb signal into an IR for use in any convolution reverb plugin anyway!!
