The Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth (RATE) team verified the previous astonishing finding by the secular scientific community that organic samples from throughout the fossil-bearing rock record consistently contain C-14 at levels far above the instrument detection limits. Because the half-life of C-14 is so short (5,730 years), the C-14 atoms detected themselves cannot logically be more than tens of thousands of years old—not millions, tens of millions, or hundreds of millions, as the sample locations in the rock record might seem to suggest according to conventional understanding. Furthermore, the discovery by the RATE team of C-14 in diamonds suggests that the physical earth itself is no more than thousands of years old, not billions. Hear directly from Dr John Baumgardner, Lead Researcher for C-14 in the RATE project along with host Dr Russ Humphreys!
