Strong winds made life difficult for pilots coming in to land at Dublin Airport on Sunday, October 20, as Storm Ashley caused cancellations and delays at Ireland’s main travel hub.
Footage posted online shows a Norwegian plane’s approach.
“Norwegian air winning the roughest landing so far award,” the caption read. “Fair play to that pilot.”
According to the Dublin Airport Authority, 81 flights were cancelled on Sunday. Thirty-nine go-arounds were performed, and 34 aircraft opted to divert, they said.
