Az Yashir Moshe, the Shirat Hayam, is perhaps one of the most ancient tunes in the Jewish tradition. This is attested to by the similarity that exists between Eastern, Western and North African Sephardi chants, as well as those of the Eastern and Western Ashkenazi rites.
In this recording the London, Amsterdam, Livorno and New York variants of the Western Sephardi melody are presented.
