Welcome back to another video. Today's video is another trip report type video. I’m am in the process of creating more of these videos as it is something that I think a lot of people would enjoy.
I don’t travel on Avanti that much however when I do, I like to make the most of my journeys by doing what I love, making plenty of videos and emerging them into one. I recently had the pleasure of travelling in Standard class on one of Avanti's Pendolinos from London Euston to Crewe and decided to get a little bit of footage from onboard. For those who are interested, the unit was 390 117 and the headcode was 1F14. The 10:07 departure from London Euston. The video begins at London Euston. Coach A (the coach I was sitting in) is unreserved and is the quiet coach. We departed 3 minutes late. Anything other 5 minutes late is classed as late in the railway. I have no clue why. We pick up speed as we pass Wembley Yard. The first stop on this service was Stafford. So it was nice to experience an hour and 20 minutes of fast high speed non stop action. Upon arrival into Stafford, the train manager mentions about the air conditioning apparently leaking in Coach C. How this is possible is beyond me. We arrived into Stafford 6 minutes late. After a very quick stop at Stafford, we depart 8 minutes behind schedule. I made plenty of use of the onboard shop which is located in Coach C. In my opinion, the prices for cold food and drink is very cheap. It depends on what you prefer to be honest. After a 16 minute journey, we finally arrive into Platform 11 at Crewe 8 minutes late.
Like the other trip report to Peterborough, I have included the names of stations that we pass in order. However I didn’t have a walk around as I liked my window seat too much. I do apologise for any talking. My mate and I were too excited about going to Crewe. I have also included timestamps for those of you who would rather skip to a certain part of the video.
