High blood pressure is often hard to control without medication. But there's some new research that shows certain isometric exercises (contracting muscles without movement) can help prevent and reduce high blood pressure, or hypertension.
A study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine and summarized by CNN ([ Ссылка ]) showed that isometric exercises like wall squats and planks may be best for lowering blood pressure. Both exercises can be modified, and then progressed.
