DriTri
It’s time for the time for the Orangetheory twice annual DriTri.
This is Orangetheory’s equivalent to a triathlon but instead of swimming, cycling, and running, you will be running a 5k on the treadmill, rowing 2000 meters, and doing 300 body weight movements. There’s no swimming and that’s why it’s a “Dry” Triathlon.
Each studio has its own time frame for the DriTri. Your studio might have 90 minutes to complete dry try, and other studios might be 75 minutes. You probably won’t need the full 90 minutes or 75 minutes. Most members complete DriTri within an hour or less.
The coaches and Orangetheory athletes are super encouraging and everyone will encourage you! If you’ve been attending cases at Orangetheory, you’ve likely already completed all of the dry tri tasks. We had infinity, we had the 2000 m benchmark row and we had endurance distance run on the treadmill. Those workouts were all prep for dry tri and if you’ve completed those classes, then dry tri will be nothing new.
Be proud of yourself for your accomplishments. Think about where you’re at in your health journey. Orangetheory is an excellent place to get into shape and you can begin at any fitness level. If you’re just now beginning your journey, no one will judge you. We each have our own challenges but we all share the same goal of improving, and we are here to support and motivate each other. Good luck, you got this, I am rooting for you to finish strong.
