These locomotives are called the ÖBB Class 1016 "Taurus". They have a top speed of 140mph although they have ***The WORLD RECORD for conventional electric locomotives, one achieved *****222MPH!!!! (357km/h)****** It does seem to me that all this speed and power is wasted on moving around one carriage! Look on Wikipedia: [ Ссылка ] and look at the "ES 64 U" part.
