Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley has advised President Paula-Mae Weekes to immediately revoke the appointment of Robert Le Hunte as a Senator and Minister of Public Utilities.
Mr. Le Hunte resigned from his Ministerial post in a letter dated Friday May 15th 2020.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) said MP for Laventille West, Fitzgerald Hinds, has been appointed as Minister of Public Utilities. He will also continue to discharge his duties as Minister in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs.
The PNM's Candidate for Barataria/San Juan, Jason Williams, has been selected to work in the Senate with immediate effect.
