This video featuring Hon. Evelyn Oluwande, the Senior Principal Magistrate at Limuru Law Court, is part of a national conversation on Kenya’s Alternative Justice System (AJS) Policy ahead of the launch of this major, new policy on 27 August 2020. The conversation is being driven by the Judiciary Taskforce on Traditional, Informal and Other Mechanisms Used to Access Justice in Kenya, or AJS Taskforce, which has led the development of the policy.
Consistent with its central coordination role for the justice sector, the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ) will provide overall oversight and a platform for ongoing discussion, inter-agency collaboration and action to support effective implementation of the policy.
